There are a lot of variables when it comes to reaching your goals and seeing the success you desire, but most of those that pull it off normally have the two traits that I will talk about today. So here are my two common traits for success ..
This website is about online business and internet marketing, which of course these two traits apply to, yet are present in all those that succeed in any business. Personal goals and sport achievements also need these traits and on the surface they seem very similar, yet they are different.
The Same But Different
If you have not already guessed, I am talking about being consistent and persistent, these are very important when we are looking to achieve success in any endeavor. I often say that you need to be these two things to be successful, even though I have to admit that I do not always practice what I preach, guilty as charged
It is easy to forget that these two things are different and represent different parts of the same route to success in achieving our goals. It is possible to be consistent in my persistence, or persistent in my consistence, I know I am just trying to be clever now, but bear with me ..
So what is the real difference between the two?
Consistency As I Know It
There are several things that I need to do on a regular basis to achieve success with this website and maintain that success, and here are a few of those things ..
- Post regular content
- Share my content
- Generate traffic
Three simple things that if I did not do, then my site would just be pointlessly floating around cyberspace being ignored. Obviously there are other things that I need to do, but posting regular content is pretty important otherwise why would anyone come back to my website?
Consistency is about doing something on a regular basis, I am consistent in posting regular content for my readers to learn from and enjoy. I am consistent in sharing my content on social media to gain more exposure, and both of these things help in traffic generation, although I consistently look for other ways to generate traffic.
Once you know the things you need to do to succeed, it is all about doing those things on a regular basis and then you will be consistent in your pursuit of success and have the best chance of achieving your goals.
I Will Not Stop Until I Succeed
There are many things that can stand in the way of us reaching our goals and not seeing the success we desire, there are plenty that start out with good intentions, but fail because they lack a very important trait, and that trait is persistence, never giving up and sticking to the plan.
Think of it like this ..
Nothing is going to stop me from succeeding, I will keep going and keep moving forward until I achieve what I set out to do. When I set a goal I am determined to achieve it, I have to have the persistence to carry me through to the end no matter what obstacles are thrown before me or how difficult things may get, I will overcome and I will persist until I succeed.
Now you may call that being stubborn or one track minded, but it is being persistent. It is easy to give up when things get difficult and when we put in so much time and effort, but do not see the results we were hoping for, then it just seems a waste of our time, and it is easy to go in search for something that will get results. The trouble is that nothing is as easy as it seems, and more often than not the cycle will just repeat itself.
Those that give up or look for the greener grass are often so close to success yet they did not see it and gave up just short of achieving their goals, whereas those that succeed are often those that persist no matter how hopeless the situation may seem, they had faith and they stuck in there, and eventually reaped the rewards of their own persistence.
