If you are going to join an Internet Marketing Course, then try not to make these 3 mistakes people make on a regular basis. These are not even things that people do, they are things that they don’t do, and the result is a failure to capitalize on the opportunity.
I can only imagine that the intention of anyone that joins a course that will teach them how to market online is to learn how to market online, is it not? No matter what type of course or program we join, our reason has to be to learn how to do something, so that we can then do what we have learnt from that course. It’s pretty simple
So where does it go wrong then?
One Foot In Front Of The Other
Obviously I have just explained how to walk in that sub heading, and the reason is that if you do not put one foot in front of the other, then you are not going to walk. Most Internet Marketing Courses will take the student through a series of steps by way of lessons. It is a simple concept and it normally goes something like this …
Step 1
- You will need to do this
- This is how you do it
- You will need to do it once/daily/weekly/monthly
- Now go and do it
Step 2
- You will need to do this
- This is how you do it
- You will need to do it once/daily/weekly/monthly
- Now go and do it
And so it continues, it is not difficult, yet some students don’t follow the format.
Many students will not follow a step correctly, leave bits out, or skip a step altogether, yet expect the right results. A step is in place for a reason, if you build a staircase you would not leave out a step now and again or several together because it would make it difficult or impossible for people to get from one floor to next. A step in a course is there for a reason, to be followed and completed.
That is mistake number 1, not following the course correctly and missing things out, that could be crucial to your success.
Talk A Good Talk
When we learn something it makes us a little more than we were before, but what we have learnt is only as good as our use of it, just as if we buy something that will serve a purpose, but we don’t actually use it, then that purpose it not served. There are many people that will go right through a course, they will complete every lesson in respect of …
- You will need to do this
- This is how you do it
- You will need to do it once/daily/weekly/monthly
But they miss out the …
- Now go and do it
There is nothing wrong with going through a whole course first from start to finish with the intention of then going back to the beginning and implementing the “Now go and do it” part. That is fine, but so many people just don’t follow through with the action part.
Action is the power behind knowledge, it is not the knowledge that is powerful, it is what you do with the knowledge that gives it the power. There are plenty of hard drives with courses that are not being used, just taking up space and being ignored, just as there are memberships online being paid for every month, but not be utilized by the member.
It is pretty crazy, but true.
That is mistake number 2, not implementing or taking action on what has been learnt, that has to be crucial to success.
Instant Results
If you do not get results straight away, what does that mean?
- It doesn’t work
- The course is no good
- Outdated information
It does not mean the course does not work, and it does not necessarily mean that the course is no good or out of date. Now there are the unscrupalious ones online that do sell stuff that doesn’t work, or is total trash, or outdated, but most of the time it is not for one of these reason why success is not reached.
Too many people that do not get results in a short time frame will just move on to something else and start the whole process over again. Time is needed for something to work effectively, you cannot come online, learn how to do something and expect instant results, it does not work like that, even though some promote it in that way.
Most of the time failure to get something to work is down to baling out to soon and not letting time do its magic.
That is mistake number 3, giving up too soon.
Conclusion
No matter what the subject, if you take a course and you study the lessons thoroughly, put them into practice and give it enough time to work, then success will be yours. That is just my opinion and based on my experience online.
If you do the right research and pick the right course, then there is no reason not to see success. I am not perfect by the way, I have been guilty of making all 3 mistakes in the past, and on more than one occasion, that is why I know that they are the Top 3 mistakes people make when they join an Internet Marketing Course. Let me know your thoughts, or experiences with courses you may have tried in the past, just drop your comments below, it would be interesting to know your opinions.
